You Crossed My Mind Again Today

You crossed my mind again today
unbidden flash of memory
imprinting on my mourning soul
your brilliant abundant energy

You crossed my mind again today
lost love two decades old
gone forever, stolen away
by the thief that robs so bold

You crossed my mind again today
your arm around my shoulder
dancing on my living grave
and making my heart flutter

You crossed my mind again today
a ghostly reminiscence
reminding me you've really gone
though I can feel your essence

You crossed my mind again today
and kissed my fractured heart
that broke in half so long ago
when we were forced apart

You crossed my mind again today
bringing me release
I said aloud your ghostly name
my darling rest in peace

you know, i could start with this exact same line, and write something with the exact opposite emotion. you can format hard discs, you cannot format your own memory, tough.

A very lovely poem. Congratulations on having your poetry book published.

Just to let you know about my Royalty post. Did you know that someone on disability gets $920 a month to live on if they are single? A married couple gets $1278? And the news the other night told that Canadians pay the $138,000 hotel bill that Charles and Camilla ran up. This money should be put toward helping those less fortunate. The Queen can afford to pay her own way. I have a friend that has to chose between eating and paying her rent, yet we can afford to pay this ridiculous price for Royalty to visit. Just doesn't seem right to me.

Wishing you a great weekend.
