He looked at the brilliant blue ocean in the distance and tried to pull himself together.  But the fear was like a serpent.  It coiled and hissed and rattled inside of him.  He had buried it beneath all of his other emotions because like most humans he didn’t know that to lose his fear, instead of releasing or killing it, he simply needed to replace it with love.
